Walkin' with my feet 10 feet off of Beale...

Here's me and Jamie on the front steps of Graceland.

Yes,we are quite obviously in Memphis Tennessee. This is one of my favorite towns in the country. I was sick for a few days, but not enough to dampen my enthusiasm for the second best place after New Orleans for culinary and musical delights. BBQ and The Blues is what it's all about here, and I've had plenty of both. I also got to catch up with my friend Corey who is one of the 2 people I actually liked from the Wizard of Oz tour I did last spring. And then of course there's Graceland. A prime example of what happens when you give a redneck money. :) But if you're a fan of rock'n'roll and Elvis in general,it's still a must-see place.

We start our 2 month west coast swing next week with El Paso TX. More show pics to come!

Da Bears!

Here's me at the Ponyville Post Office with Rarity the Unicorn (Danny Mendoza). Not sure why I'm sticking my butt in the air.

Sorry for the long delay in posts, but the simple fact is - nothing much has been going on. We've been in Chicago this week. Well, sorta. Our venue is WAAAAAYYYY out by O'Hare Airport and we're staying at one of the airport hotels. If any of you know Chicago at all,you know that the airport is nowhere near the downtown area. In fact,it's about a 45 minute subway ride. My friend Jamie and I had all these grand plans for Chicago sightseeing, but she caught a bad cold after our wanderings in NYC. That, coupled with the distance from the hotel plus the fact that it's so freakin' cold here, just made spending a lot of time in the city impractical. So today we finally got in there for the 1st and probably only time. Didn't do anything fancy - she's still recovering and it was still pretty dang cold - so we just wandered around the Loop and took pictures of the Sears Tower. Chicago is a great town in the spring. Avoid it in January.

These Vagabond Shoes...

Here's me with Rainbow Dash(Tim Caouette).

A rare week with 3 days off in a row. Luckily we're in White Plains NY,so most of us took off to NYC for the break. I hadn't been to New York in a couple of years,at least not for any length of time,so it was great to be back. Got to see several of my NY friends that I hadn't seen in a long time. Most of the time I spent with my friend Jamie from tour just walking around the city and seeing what's changed since I'd been there last. Managed to see a few shows as well. Tuesday night I went with my castmates Tim,Sheila, and Carmela, along with our assistant costumer Amy to AVENUE Q. One of the funniest things I've seen in a very long time. Absolutely brilliant satire, raunchy as all get-out,but with a lot of heart and somewhat touching at times. And then yesterday Jamie and I went to the matinee of HAIRSPRAY. Lots of fun, great music and dance numbers, and much more of a social conscience than I was expecting. Campy, yes, but I adore camp! It was also very refreshing to see a cast that was clearly enjoying everything they were doing onstage. Unfortunately, you don't often see that in this business these days.

Back to work tomorrow and then Chicago next week.

Starting today...a pic with every post!!! (Until I run out)

Hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year. It's just now occured to me that I should tell you all what these pictures are. This one is me standing outside the Ponyville Sweet Shop with Sweetberry(Elissa Newcorn) and Spike the Dragon(David Vain).

We just started our run in Youngstown OH. We don't fit. The stage is tiny and there's no wingspace. When we're offstage we have to go across an alley to the next building because there's no space for giant pony asses in the wings! This was apparently a last-minute booking. One of the Sesame Street tours was supposed to come here, but their schedule changed so we got shunted here instead. And as I said,we don't fit.

Good news - according to my boss, the DCU Center booking is a go! It's not 100% yet,but it looks like it will happen probably in late June-early July.
