Merry Christmas

I'm sick.

Chest cold. Coughing and hacking. The high altitude isn't helping either. We're on our Rocky Mountain swing now. We did Albuquerque NM, Loveland CO, Bozeman MT, and are now in Casper WY. I feel somewhat out of place here, seeing as I'm the only one in town without a cowboy hat. You know you're in Wyoming when you're driving to the arena for the show and you have to wait to pull in to the parking lot because a herd of antelope is crossing the street in front of you.

A few company changes. Tiffany, who was our Spike the dragon, was fired for...well,for a variety of reasons. So Rachel, who was our temporary Ladybug, has agreed to stay on for the rest of the season to play Spike. Corrine will be back this week as well. And we have a new assisstant costumer,Candace.

Tomorrow we fly to Kennewick WA,where we will spend Christmas in a crappy Best Western. We don't get a Christmas break this year because Hasbro wants their giant, walking advertisement out there through the holidays. We still get a "holiday" break, but it's not til late January. A few of my younger castmates have actually shelled out in some cases over $1000 to fly home on the 24th and fly back on the 26th. It's all East Coast-based people who are doing it too, which means back-to-back cross-country flights, but I guess they just couldn't handle not being home on Christmas Day. I really hope everyone makes it back in time for the show. While I have no problem with folks wanting to be with their families for Christmas, you gotta take weather into consideration. There's just too big a chance of delays and cancellations this time of year. Unless it's some sort of emergency, the company rather frowns on you missing a show because you decided to leave for a few days. I just don't think it's worth risking your job.

A happy and safe holiday to all.

Smelly

We just finished a week in Pine Bluff AR. I apologize if anyone from Pine Bluff is reading this, but your town stinks. I mean, literally stinks. There's a paper mill in town and the whole city reeks of it. It even permeates the hotel. We had to drive all the way to Little Rock to do publicity for the show, which begs the question, why didn't we just perform in Little Rock???

Company changes - Lauren is back,so that means Danny is gone. Our new Rarity,Michell, has been in for a bit now. Corinne is out for 8 weeks with a broken foot so we have a temporary new Ladybug,Rachel. She'll only be here till Corinne gets back. Adam, our head electrician & my roommate from last year, left for a cruise ship gig so we have a new one - Amy,another Red Sox fan!!! And Missy, our head wardrobe and last original crew member, left due to a major back injury. The 1st assisstant,Michelle, took over as head and we're getting a new 1st assisstant soon.

Two movie recommendations: Enchanted and Beowulf. See the latter one in 3D.

Sitting in the Little Rock airport awaiting a flight to Albuquerque for the beginning of our West Coast/Rocky Mountain swing, which will last for about 2 months.
