Merry Christmas

I'm sick.

Chest cold. Coughing and hacking. The high altitude isn't helping either. We're on our Rocky Mountain swing now. We did Albuquerque NM, Loveland CO, Bozeman MT, and are now in Casper WY. I feel somewhat out of place here, seeing as I'm the only one in town without a cowboy hat. You know you're in Wyoming when you're driving to the arena for the show and you have to wait to pull in to the parking lot because a herd of antelope is crossing the street in front of you.

A few company changes. Tiffany, who was our Spike the dragon, was fired for...well,for a variety of reasons. So Rachel, who was our temporary Ladybug, has agreed to stay on for the rest of the season to play Spike. Corrine will be back this week as well. And we have a new assisstant costumer,Candace.

Tomorrow we fly to Kennewick WA,where we will spend Christmas in a crappy Best Western. We don't get a Christmas break this year because Hasbro wants their giant, walking advertisement out there through the holidays. We still get a "holiday" break, but it's not til late January. A few of my younger castmates have actually shelled out in some cases over $1000 to fly home on the 24th and fly back on the 26th. It's all East Coast-based people who are doing it too, which means back-to-back cross-country flights, but I guess they just couldn't handle not being home on Christmas Day. I really hope everyone makes it back in time for the show. While I have no problem with folks wanting to be with their families for Christmas, you gotta take weather into consideration. There's just too big a chance of delays and cancellations this time of year. Unless it's some sort of emergency, the company rather frowns on you missing a show because you decided to leave for a few days. I just don't think it's worth risking your job.

A happy and safe holiday to all.
