Post-Pony

Wow,it's been awhile. So life continues after tour. I am in Ogunquit ME in production for La Cage Aux Folles. It's quite a wonderful cast, and I got to work for BT McNicholl, who is one of my favorite directors. This is true summer stock at it's craziest. One show closes on Saturday night and the next one opens on Tuesday. There ain't no time to tech anything, and the tech is quite extensive here. The 1st few shows were rather bumpy, but it's starting to settle down. Although I do miss touring and my pony gang, especially Jamie,it's kinda nice to be in one place for a little while and actually unpack, and Ogunquit is a great place, although a bit lacking in terms of cheap eats.

I began rehearsal today for my next gig - a children's theatre production of "Schoolhouse Rock Live!" at Foothills Theatre in Worcester, where I have worked many, many times. It opens the week after La Cage closes,so I'm driving down there on my non-matinee days to get to as many rehearsals as I can. My old buddy Nathan is directing, and the cast seems like a nice group of kids. I emphasize the word "kids". I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in the cast who can drink.

So the tour continues in my absence. They've gone to several more places in Florida, and the replacements are starting to come in fast and furious. Jamie,Laurie and Sheila have already left,as well as a few crew members. Taylor,Carmela,Ally and Liz all leave at the end of this week I believe, and Elissa goes next week. Tim has been keeping me updated on the goings-on. It's still quite strange to think when I go back to tour,I'll be the "new kid". Even though I'm an original cast member,I will technically be the last replacement to come in.

I know I usually close with where I'm going next, but for now it's just "Ogunquit"!
