There's A New Band In Town But You Can't Get The Sound From A Story In A Magazine...Aimed At Your Average Teen...

Greetings from Cleveland! Home of the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame,which we visited yesterday. If you're a music fan at all,I highly recommend a visit. Lots of memorabilia,the coolest of which was lots of famous articles of clothing,such as John Lennon's Sgt.Pepper jacket, Tom Petty's Mad Hatter hat, Freddie Mercury's white jumpsuit, Michael Jackson's glove, the dress David Bowie wore in his final appearance as Ziggy Stardust, Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA jeans, Janis Joplin's glasses to name a few. The highlight of the Hall is a video montage of concert highlights from every inductee. With over 150 of them,it's a LONG video,but totally worth it.

Oh yeah,the show. We did the show again tonight for the 1st time in 11 days. The show itself was fine,but everyone's stamina was shot from the long layoff. It's a short week though - only 4 shows,so we can all ease back into it.

The Return of Show Pics

I've received a request to put more pictures from the show up here,to which I will gladly comply. But I can't figure out how to get more than one picture per entry up,so you'll all have to wait till next time for more!
Our last week of shows in Detroit went very smoothly,and I am fully recovered from my Canada-cold. The show is pretty much running itself by now. The swings are all comfortable in all the roles they cover,and Jamie,who's the understudy for all the non-Pony roles,has had a chance to peform all of her roles as well. Watch,I've just probably completely jinxed us. So now we're in our week off for the holidays. My housemates have gone to visit family in Illinois,so I am as they say,Home Alone! Well,the cat's here too. I'm taking this week to catch up on sleep and movies. Next week we start up again in Cleveland,City of Light,City of Magic. 150 geek points to whomever knows what that's from.

We Stand On Guard For Theeeeeeee......

Almost done with our run here in Canada. This has been a difficult week for many reasons,not the least of which being because I've been sick. It's kind of scary being sick in a foreign country. I was sick in France once many years ago. I've always been leery of traveling internationally because I'm always afraid I'm going to inadvertently break some weird law that I don't know about.
I think we're all ready for this week to be over. (Except for my best friend on the tour,whose boyfriend is visiting. She's doing peachy.) We're in the middle of 7 shows in 3 days,nobody can use their phone,and a lot of people have had trouble with the concept of currency exchange. I've witnessed several instances where castmates of mine have wondered aloud why the stores and restaurants won't accept their American money. Ummm...cause you're not in America?

Next week,Detroit and then XMas break.

Ah,Kentucky. "Horse Country",or so it is called. Apparently,the reason why Kentucky produces so many champion racehorses is because there is so much limestone in the ground here,and the grass has a high calcium content. So naturally the horses eat the grass,and their bones are much stronger than horses reared in other areas. This goes back to the Revolutionary War,when Eastern farmers moved their horses out here to get them out of the way of the fighting,and discovered that the horses thrived in their new environment. The high limestone content in the grass also give the grass a bluish tint,hence the term "Kentucky Bluegrass". These are things you learn when you have 3 days off and nothing to do but read the regional guide in the hotel room.
