Roommate Roulette
Sorry for the delay in posts! And sorry for no picture this time. I'm having to use dial-up internet here and it takes FOREVER!
As you can guess by the title,I have a new roommate. My old roommate Tim has,as they say,"hooked up" with one of the girls on tour and they have chosen to co-habitate. She and her roommate were also having personality clashes so Casey,our boss,agreed to the switch. So I am now rooming with Adam,our Head Electrician. Nice enough guy except he talks almost nonstop,and primarily about either technical theatre or Star Trek. Now,I can carry on a conversation about either of those 2 subjects fairly well, but when that's ALL that gets talked about,I kind of want to kill myself.
We spent all this week in Arizona. Phoenix the first half,where I got to see my friends Gary and Gina who I toured with many years ago,and Tucson the second half. Tomorrow we head out for a week at my old stomping grounds in Omaha Nebraska!
One final Hollywood story - our last morning there we had an 8AM bus call. I had my luggage down to the bus by 7:15 so I decided to kill time and go for a walk up the street behind our hotel. This street had some very opulent "Hollywood" houses on it. It was very quiet and peaceful that early in the morning - just some people jogging and the paperboy and such. As I'm walking back to the bus,I happen to come across an elderly gentleman walking his dog. As we pass,he nods to me and says "Good morning." As I'm saying good morning back to him,I suddenly realize that it's Bob Barker. Others in the cast had random celebrity encounters that week,but it was agreed by all that mine was the coolest.
